Design Ideas Group Volunteers to Design Replacement Schools for Haiti
As a result of the devastating earthquake in January that destroyed over 10,000 classrooms throughout the region the Spanish Red Cross is planning to build 11 replacement schools for the children of Haiti. The SCW (Schools for the Children of the World) has partnered with CEFPI (Council of Educational Facilities Planners International) whose members will provide the design services for these 11 schools. The design team at Design Ideas Group will begin working on the replacement for Ecole National Mixte De Darbonne de Léogâne School.
2010 Making a Difference Award
Design Ideas Group has been presented with a 2010 Making a Difference Award by the Springpoint Foundation the philanthropic and community enrichment arm of Springpoint Senior Living. They have recognized the firm for its tremendous efforts in supporting the Foundation's workforce development initiative. The goal of the program is to inspire the next generation of leaders in senior care by providing opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and experience in the senior care industry. The award was presented at the Springpoint Senior Living Annual Golf Outing on June 8, 2010.
2010 Marketing Achievement Award
Congratulations to Sharyn Yorio, Chief Marketing Officer of Design Ideas Group and Immediate Past-President of SMPS-NJ, on receiving the chapter’s 2010 Marketing Achievement Award.
2010 Service Award
The Council of Educational Facilities Planners International (CEFPI) presented Jeffrey Venezia with the award at the 2010 Northeast Regional Conference on May 7th in Philadelphia for his outstanding service to the organization and the community.
Outstanding Project Award
Design Ideas Group received an “Outstanding Project” recognition from Learning By Design for the Cicely L. Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts in East Orange, NJ and Hammarskjold Middle School & Performing Arts Center in East Brunswick, NJ. |
